Our Community Appeals Service offers clients support in the appeals process if their benefit application has been rejected. Matthew, our Legal Advocate, can help with:

  • Preparing and submitting mandatory reconsideration requests and appeal notices.
  • Gathering evidence to support your appeal such as medical records.
  • He will speak on your behalf at the Tribunal hearing but clients still have to give evidence in their own case.
  • If the appeal is unsuccessful, Matthew will help clients appeal to the Upper Tribunal.

This service currently has a 90% success rate.

For full details of the Service, download the Community Appeals Service leaflet here.

Matt's role as Legal Advocate at the London Irish Centre is externally funded by a Trust for London grant.
