Ceiliúradh Londain

Ceiliúradh, the Irish word for celebration, tells the story of Irish life in London, through music, song, dance and the spoken word.

All the performers are locally based, highlighting the tremendous talent available in the area, just waiting to be discovered.

The show takes it's theme from the traditional music sessions held at the Favourite public house , many years ago. The compere for the evening will be Nottingham based, Tipperary native Gerry Molumby, who is very active in the London music and theatre scene.

The show will contain a drama specially written by John Dunn of Irish Theatre, which will take a lighted hearted look at Gaelic games in London. We are delighted to have on the show Joe Mc Geown, a current world champion Irish dancer, who has given up the time from his busy schedule to preform here.

Irish music and dance will feature prominently in the show which will culminate with the big session in Camden.

Earlier on the same day, we will hold a Feile na Oige, to showcase the local, vibrant younger talent, who have had our culture passed down to them and are relishing keeping it alive.
