This course is designed for people who have attended Absolute Beginners or those with a basic understanding of the language and can hold a simple conversation.

The course aims to help students build vocabulary and improve pronunciation. Students will build confidence and become comfortable talking about themselves and others and discussing topics such as daily life, holidays and pastimes . Their ability to understand simple conversations will also improve as will their ability to read simple texts. They will also learn practical phrases for use in everyday situations such as ordering food and drink and expressing their likes and dislikes. The course will increase students' knowledge of basic grammar, including an introduction to the past tense. Relevant cultural or historical topics will be weaved throughout.

This course is ideal for those who wish to build upon the basic Irish that they have in a relaxed manner.

Originally from County Tyrone, Niall is a passionate Irish language speaker, teacher and activist. He studied Irish, Old Irish and Irish Folklore at university in Dublin before moving to London to work teaching adults English and Irish. He is currently Oifigeach Oideachais/Education Officer in Conradh na Gaeilge i Londain.
