Our Day Services provides services to Irish people 55.
We work with individuals with low-to-moderate needs.
The main element of the Day Services is our weekly social service. It is a friendly, warm & welcoming environment with top quality, healthy Irish food. We have worked hard to try and create a home from home (abhaile ón mbaile) atmosphere. A quick walk through the Day Centre and you will hear music, laughter & conversations between friends old & new.
Our work was recently recognized when we received the Day Centre Standards from the London Housing Foundation.
We provide:-
• Tasty, well priced, home cooked meals
• Computer classes
• Art classes
• Access to access health practitioners
• Information days
• Irish language classes
• Day Trips
• Referrals to other services
• Gentle exercise sessions
• Activates such as bingo, quizzes & cookery workshops
• Healthy living group
• Holidays
• Movie club

We also run seasonal events at Christmas, Easter and for St Patrick’s Day as well as our infamous Irish Breakfasts. We can make referrals to any other services within the Irish Centre so if you need advice or support on benefits, welfare or housing we will ensure you have access to these services.
We have over 100 people attending the Day Centre. We have a great mix of men & woman from both Ireland and the UK. The majority of the Day Centre is 1st or 2nd generation Irish as well as other members of the community who are Irish through marriage.

Please note there is no waiting list for our Day Services, however it’s not a drop in service – so when you contact us we will book you in to meet with a member of our team before you attend. This is an opportunity to show you around and explain how it works and to answer any questions that you may have.
