We need your help
The London Irish Centre charity is the heart of the Irish community in London.
For sixty years we have been helping Irish people in real need. Our services are crucial to Irish people of all ages that are struggling, in crisis or just starting out. The range of support needs is diverse and varied.
How we help:
| We help Irish people in crisis. This includes the homeless, the vulnerable and the socially isolated
| We care for the older members of the Irish community, through advice, day centres and social activities
| We support and advise recently-arrived emigrants on buildling their life in London
| We offer a welcoming taste of home to the city's Irish population
| We promote Irish arts and culture to London and beyond
'I was advised to go to the LIC by a friend. I was in a terrible state when I first went there… I was completely stressed and at, one stage, I even thought of suicide… (now) our future is much brighter and I feel much more optimistic about it. It helps to know that I can always go to LIC for help if I need it.' Welfare client
It costs £1.2M p.a. to do this. We need your help to continue this work.
'We only came to LIC for advice on getting a national insurance number, I cannot believe what they did for us and we are really grateful, we could not have stayed in London for long without the help we got . Everyone we met at LIC were welcoming, understanding and professional' James & Declan, young emigrants
