Big Success for our Advice Team
We are delighted to announce the re-accreditation of our advice service under the Advice Quality Standard scheme, the nationally-recognised benchmark of high-quality social welfare advice.
We not only achieved re-accreditation, but passed the audit with no corrective action required, confirming that our systems and procedures are all currently of a very high standard. A “no corrective action” result is awarded to only a small number of advice services, and is an indication of how well the Advice & Outreach team operates.
Jim Fearnley, London Irish Centre’s Advice & Outreach Manager says
“The renewed award of the AQS, and the excellent rating we received, is testament to the high quality of the vital work that our Advice & Outreach Team carries out in meeting the needs of some of the most vulnerable members of the Irish community in London, and ensuring in particular that they can access their full entitlements to welfare benefits and housing .”
London Irish Centre provides advice to the Irish community in London on welfare benefits, housing, priority debt, access to healthcare and supported accommodation, returning to/moving from Ireland, Irish state pensions, and Irish passport and birth certificate applications.
Our main service is based in Camden (including a home-visiting service across Camden and Islington), with two satellite offices in Kilburn (also offering a home-visiting service in a range of central and North West London boroughs) and West Kensington (attached to which is an outreach service in Ealing and a home-visiting service in South West London boroughs).
We encourage you to make a donation to support the work of our Advice & Outreach team, which provides vital access to entitlements on behalf of the London Irish community, many of whom are subject to high levels of social exclusion and financial need.
