London Irish Centre Trustees Support 'Remain' Vote
The UK will vote on Britain`s membership of the European Union on Thursday 23 June. The London Irish Centre charity exists to support the Irish community in London, and the Charity`s Trustees believe that Britain staying in the European Union is in the best interests of the Irish community in the UK. Therefore, we support a ‘Remain’ vote.
Britain`s membership of the EU gives Irish people in the UK freedom to travel, protects their rights and safeguards their jobs. Britain and Ireland’s membership of the EU has transformed the relationship between both nations and helped create peace in Northern Ireland.
Unlike the majority of other EU citizens in Britain, Irish citizens living in the UK can vote in this referendum. Whatever your view, we urge you to use your vote and make your voice heard.
