Young Poet Laureate London in-residence this Summer

We are delighted that Young Poet Laureate for London, Aisling Fahey, will be poet-in-residence at The London Irish Centre through our summer season.

There will be three key pieces of work through this period:

  • Week 1 - May 18-21: Working with Older Irish Emigrants

Come along for a chance to explore the stories of your past. Using conversations to reminisce, chat and share some of your favourite Irish writers and poets, there will also be a chance to write some poetry of your own.

  • Week 2 - Jun 1-5: Working with second and third generation Irish

Join Aisling Fahey in a series of writing workshops exploring identity and your personal relationship with Ireland, whatever that may be. It's a chance to discuss and write poetry, with an opportunity to publicly share some work at a later date if you want to.

  • Aug: 'An Evening With Aisling Fahey' - part of our Irish Showcase Series.

Please mail arts@londonirishcentre.org or call 020 7916 2222 if you or a group you work with would like to take part.
